About the role

The Occupational Medicine team at Saratoga Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their part-time evening team. The position involves practicing at the client's medical facility in Malta, NY, with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some days off.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains, documents, and updates medical history.
  • Identifies health risks and needs.
  • Performs physical examinations and conducts preventive screening procedures based on age and history.
  • Formulates a differential diagnosis and plan of care based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings.
  • Identifies needs of the individual, family, or community.
  • Orders and reviews diagnostic tests.
  • Determines effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes.
  • Reassesses and modifies plan of care as necessary to achieve medical and health goals.
  • Makes referrals to other health professionals and community agencies.
  • Participates in and develops projects and quality improvement programs, as well as standards of care and practice.
  • Maintains current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
  • Maintains all required professional documentation, such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, DEA as well as system requirements.
  • Acts as a resource to staff and implements educational programs, as needed.

Requirements

  • License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State, prior to credentialing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in occupational medicine preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Pay

The compensation package is competitive, including a starting pay grade of APP Pay Range: 56.36/Hr. - $71.19/Hr., with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Work 3:00pm - 11:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at the client's medical facility in Malta, NY. No weekends, holidays, or on-call.
