Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Promote wellness and preventive health
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams
- Perform in-office procedures, prescribe medications, and manage diagnostics
- Engage in quality initiatives and team development
- Respond to emergencies and support patient safety
- Maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines and InterMed policies
- Perform other duties to support the mission, vision and values of InterMed
Requirements
- 2+ Years of experience post-graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN – Master of Science in Nursing, DNP – Doctor of Nursing Practice) or Physician Assistant program (MPAS – Master of Physician Assistant Studies, MSPA – Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, MHS – Master of Health Science (PA))
- Active or pending, unencumbered licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Maine
- Active or pending DEA Certification in the state of Maine
- Board Certification
- Maintain continuing education appropriate for scope of practice and licensure
