Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, ICU/Critical Care - Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center

About the role

The Advanced Practice Clinician will primarily manage patients in the Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Intensive Care Units during nighttime hours. The APP will collaborate with medical residents and other APPs under the supervision of the on-call ICU or Critical Care attending physicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients in the Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Intensive Care Units during nighttime hours.
• Collaborate with medical residents and other APPs under the supervision of the on-call ICU or Critical Care attending physicians.
• Preferred candidates should have critical care experience and experience in central/arterial line placement and ventilation management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field.
• Valid NJ Physician Assistant license.
• American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Prior experience in critical care nursing with preference for prior NP experience preferred for Nurse Practitioners.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• 3-5 years of critical care nursing experience for Nurse Practitioners.
