About the Role

Join Glycare and be part of a team transforming inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Glycare partners directly with hospitals to serve as a trusted clinical resource for improving glycemic outcomes, reducing complications, and supporting frontline care teams through a standardized, evidence-based consultative model. We are seeking motivated Advanced Practice Providers who want more than a traditional role—clinicians eager to grow their expertise, develop a specialty skill set, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

GlyCare’s providers play a critical role in improving patient safety, reducing complications, and supporting hospitals through specialized inpatient diabetes management. Our work intersects with nearly every major hospital specialty, including:

  • Cardiology
  • Nephrology
  • Infectious Disease
  • Surgery
  • Nutrition
  • Wound Care
  • Rehabilitation

Providers work closely with hospitalists, nursing teams, pharmacy, dietitians, and endocrinology support teams to deliver coordinated inpatient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient diabetes and glycemic management consultations
  • Manage adult hospitalized patients on Med-Surg and Step-Down units
  • Adjust insulin and diabetes therapies using evidence-based protocols
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, pharmacy, and acute care teams
  • Document directly within the hospital EMR
  • Practice within a highly collaborative inpatient consultative model

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted New York NP or PA license
  • NP certification as FNP, AGNP, or ACNP, or PA-C certification
  • EMR proficiency
  • Recent inpatient experience
  • Minimum one-year commitment

Strong new graduates with inpatient clinical training and diabetes-focused rotations are also encouraged to apply. DEA not required.

Pay

$141,000 - $155,000 annually, plus uncapped monthly bonuses based on RVU production.

Schedule

  • Approximately 16 shifts per month
  • Predictable block-style scheduling with more non-working days than traditional Monday–Friday roles
  • Daytime hospital-based rounding only
  • Minimal after-hours phone-only call
  • No ICU management, procedures, admissions, discharges, or controlled substance prescribing
  • Available shifts may include:
    • Monday + Tuesday + Wednesday + every other weekend
    • OR Wednesday + Thursday + Friday + every other weekend
