About the role

Join our collegial healthcare team in Silverdale at St. Michael Cancer Center. You will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists, all dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.
  • Work 8 hour or 10 hour shift on weekdays
  • Be comfortable seeing 10-15 patients per shift
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of our patients
  • Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with a wide variety of hematology and oncology diseases.
  • Patient care includes treatment of oncology patients, acute/same day visits, long-term follow-up patients, and infusion room oversight.
  • Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
  • Stay current with research and best practices in both Hematology and Oncology to provide evidence-based care

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Washington State ARNP/P.A. license or active license prior to starting.
  • Minimum one year of advanced practice experience (ARNP/P.A) working with Oncology and Hematology patients.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff, patients and their families
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
