About the role

The Nurse Manager (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit at Manatee Memorial Hospital is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring patient care quality, and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure compliance with staffing guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient safety and infection control practices.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve the unit's operations.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Experience in leadership roles within a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
