Nurse Manager (RN) - Emergency Department, Full-Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develops and updates individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and family.
• Ensures smooth discharge planning.
• Delivers direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality.
• Maintains safety, complies with organizational policies, and utilizes performance indicators for quality improvement.
• Educates patients and families, evaluates care effectiveness, and advocates for patient needs.
• Documents accurately, communicates effectively, and reviews own practice for ongoing competency.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• At least one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/licensed practical nurse experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license recognized by NCSBN or applicable state licensing.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles.
• Strong communication, assessment, and collaborative skills.

Schedule

• Night shift, non-management role.
• Works in an emergency department environment.
• May require weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
