Role Overview

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, focusing on patient/family-centered care and evidence-based nursing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Delivers direct patient care aligned with the nursing plan, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality and safety standards.
  • Implements safety protocols, promotes cost-effective practices, and utilizes technology for effective care delivery.
  • Evaluates patient responses, revises care plans as needed, and documents progress accurately.
  • Educates patients and families, ensuring understanding and involvement in care, and facilitates smooth discharge planning and referrals.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance evaluations to enhance care outcomes.
  • Maintains professional standards by ongoing education, licensure, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as a patient advocate, coordinating care and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
  • One year of RN experience or equivalent through residency programs or LPN experience.
  • Current RN licensure recognized in the practice state.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, policy compliance, and patient-centered care principles.
  • Effective communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Additional Information

Night shift availability; non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager. Emphasizes professional accountability, compliance, and quality improvement in a collaborative healthcare environment.
