About the Role
Provides clinical leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments and developing and updating individualized care plans
- Collaborating with healthcare team members and delegating tasks
- Monitoring care quality and ensuring patient safety
- Evaluating patient responses to care and promoting continuous improvement
- Demonstrating compliance with organizational policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (TJC, CMS)
- Maintaining professional licensure
Skills and Knowledge
- Evidence-based nursing practices
- Effective communication and cultural sensitivity
- Patient education, documentation, and advocacy
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- RN licensure
- At least one year of RN experience or completion of a recognized residency program
- Internal candidates may substitute LPN experience
Additional Requirements
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or applicable state license
Work Environment
Night shifts in an emergency department setting, with responsibilities including adherence to safety and quality standards.
