About the Role
Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you are responsible for maintaining the efficient functioning of designated nursing units on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. This includes guiding, planning, and directing hospital activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency of these activities.

As Nurse Manager, you play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment and leadership every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs and coordinate the appropriate assignment of nursing staff to facilitate patient attainment of expected outcomes.
- Coordinate schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital.
- Participate in budgetary formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
- Maintain effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and supplies.
- Assess the need for and assist in implementation of staff education and clinical development programs.
- Assume all administrative responsibilities on the unit during designated shifts.
- Supervise overall nursing care performance, maintain quality patient care, and provide staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure.
- At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership.
- 1 year of previous management experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
