Nurse Manager (RN)

About the role

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for its inpatient rehabilitation unit in Columbus, OH. The unit provides comprehensive care for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and direct assigned nursing personnel.
• Serve as a resource and consultant to ensure appropriate plans of care for the patient population.
• Provide and oversee patient care while implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
• Lead during crises to maintain continuity of care and a productive work environment.
• Maintain approved standards of patient care and collaborate with relevant staff for continuity under CNO guidance.
• Communicate clinical issues related to service or program development to the CNO.
• Promote clinical development, competency, and expertise among staff to maximize patient outcomes.
• Evaluate performance of professional and non‑licensed nursing personnel.
• Participate in interviewing prospective staff.
• Ensure staff document care provided, conduct patient/family teaching, and manage discharge planning.
• Provide direction to staff, other departments, and families to support smooth unit functioning.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license (required).
• Three to five years of nursing experience, including supervisory experience (required).
• BSN degree or enrollment in a BSN program (required).
• Certified BLS prior to hire (required).
• Certified ACLS or completion within the first six months of employment (required).
• CRRN certification required after meeting eligibility requirements (preferred).
• Clinical experience in rehabilitation or related settings (preferred).

Pay

Salary range: $115,000 – $130,000 per year (based on years of experience). Sign‑on bonus: $10,000.
