About the role
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Chief Nursing Officer and, working alongside nurses, direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population.
- Possess a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development.
- Provide and oversee patient care.
- Implement hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
- Provide leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
- Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
- Communicate clinical issues, as they relate to service or program development, to the CNO.
- Promote clinical development, competency, and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.
- Evaluate the performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel.
- Cooperate in interviewing prospective staff.
- Assure that all staff are accountable for documenting care provided, patient family teaching, and discharge planning for patients to which they are assigned.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed.
Requirements
- Valid State RN License required
- Three to five years experience including supervisory experience required
- BSN or enrollment in BSN program required
- Certified BLS before hire date required
- Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required
Preferred Qualifications
- CRRN required after meeting eligibility requirements
- Clinical experience preferred

Pay
$108,000 - $130,000 yearly based on years of experience
Sign-on Bonus
$15,000
