About the role
Regency Hospital - Florence is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The Nurse Manager plays a central role in ensuring compassionate, excellent treatment and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient care needs and coordinating the appropriate assignment of nursing staff to facilitate patient outcomes.
- Cooking schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Assisting in establishing and maintaining communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital.
- Participating in budgetary formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
- Maintaining effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and supplies.
- Assessing the need for and assisting in implementing staff education and clinical development programs.
- Supervising the overall nursing care performance, maintaining quality patient care, and providing staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.
Requirements
- Requires current RN licensure.
- At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership.
- 1 year of previous management experience.
- Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred.
