Nurse Manager of Rehabilitation Services

About the role

Our Medical City Lewisville team is looking for a Nurse Manager of Rehabilitation Services. The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall daily function and staffing of the Rehabilitation Services unit/department
• Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures
• Hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives
• Cultivate a strong team and gain staff buy-in on the HCA way
• Explain the rationale behind decisions to staff and stakeholders
• Maintain a strong presence within the unit
• Demonstrate flexibility with changes and the ability to pivot when needed

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of TX or compact license
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MSN preferred
• 1+ year of experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation setting preferred; will consider Med Surg, PCU, Surgical Ortho or other acute care areas
• 1+ year of leadership experience required
• Advanced nurse certification preferred
• Strong accountability to the unit, patients and self
• Respectful communication with team, patients, families and organization
• Strong time management abilities
• Willingness to have difficult conversations
• Team-oriented approach with a driven and coachable mindset
