Job Summary and Qualifications

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with advanced leadership skills responsible for coordinating unit operations and promoting collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains clinical competence (40% patient care, 60% administrative)
• Responsible for unit/s in absence of Nurse Manager
• Makes decisions for unit operations in absence of Nurse Manager
• Manages projects and processes essential to unit success
• (Charging processes, new hire orientation, maintain statistical data, time/attendance and QI)
• Participates and manages operations during emergency situations
• Demonstrates successful conflict resolution in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing
• At least 2 years of direct care experience as a Registered Nurse with one year in specialty
