Nurse Manager - Labor & Birth

Position Overview Responsible for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care within a busy Obstetrics and Mother Baby unit. Ensures optimal staff competency, resource utilization, and achievement of productivity and financial goals. Collaborates effectively with hospital staff, physicians, and administrative personnel to enhance communication and improve care processes. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing departmental operations to ensure excellent patient care and customer satisfaction.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation.Support staff development, clinical expertise, and adherence to safety protocols.Participate in meeting departmental and organizational goals related to quality and efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.Current Registered Nurse licensure in applicable state.At least three years of nursing experience; leadership or management experience preferred.Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required within 90 days of hire.Strong human relations and communication skills with a broad understanding of patient care processes. Unit Details A high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics, Well Newborn Care, and Post Women’s Surgical care, featuring various patient rooms, birthing suites, and surgical suites. Full-time Lactation Consultants support inpatient and outpatient needs.
