Nurse Leader

About the role

Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, 20-bed short-stay observation unit designed for low-acuity patients typically staying less than 48 hours. Develop comprehensive patient, family, and caregiver partnerships to ensure optimal care. Facilitate care delivery through delegation, collaboration, critical thinking, and effective communication within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute nursing care in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, and professional standards, including the ANA Code of Ethics and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with patients, families, and caregivers to support care delivery.
• Delegate tasks and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective care.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• 2-3 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Must complete a BSN within three years of employment (coursework outside working hours).
