Role Overview
A Nurse Extern supports the nursing team by providing compassionate, hands-on patient care while gaining experience in the Registered Nurse role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility, comfort, and hygiene
- Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
- Accurately document care and communicate updates to the nursing team
- Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery
- Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection prevention protocols
- Engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisors to develop personal growth plans
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program, pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
