About the role
Support nursing staff and gain hands-on clinical experience as a Nurse Extern.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Support patient mobility
- Provide wound and catheter care
- Collect specimens
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Educate patients and families
- Follow infection prevention protocols
- Manage and maintain equipment
- Contribute to care improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor’s degree)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (obtained within 30 days of hire)
