About the role
As a Nurse Extern, you will be a vital part of the nursing team, gaining hands-on experience and exploring the full scope of the Registered Nurse role.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs
- Support mobility
- Ensure patient comfort and hygiene
- Perform wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
- Accurately document care and communicate updates to the team
- Help patients and families understand care plans
- Promote infection prevention
- Partner with supervisors for professional growth
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program, or hold a CNA certification, or possess an associate or bachelor’s degree
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
