Nurse Extern - Spine

About the role

The Nurse Extern collaborates with the nursing team to provide safe, compassionate patient care while gaining hands-on experience in various nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility support, and patient comfort
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
• Accurately document care and communicate updates to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection prevention practices
• Engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisors to develop personal growth plans

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• CNA certification
• Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
