Nurse Extern - PRN

About the Role

The Nurse Extern provides essential patient care, supporting activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures to deliver safe, compassionate care while gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound care, specimen collection, and catheter care
• Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery
• Maintain a clean and safe environment following infection control protocols
• Engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisors to develop skills

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start
