About the Role
The Nurse Extern supports the nursing team by providing essential patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility, and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Perform wound and catheter care
- Collect specimens
- Document care accurately
- Communicate updates to the nursing team
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain safety and infection prevention standards
- Collaborate with supervisors for personal and professional growth
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
