About the Role
A Nurse Extern role supporting nursing teams in delivering patient care and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility, hygiene, and comfort
- Performing basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
- Documenting care accurately and communicating updates to the nursing team
- Educating patients and families about care plans and recovery
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment by following infection prevention protocols
- Engaging in learning opportunities, sharing ideas, and partnering with supervisors for personal growth
Qualifications
- Completion of 1+ years of nursing school or as required by state regulations
- Current NC CNA registry license
- Preferred experience in an acute care setting
- No prior experience required
