About the role
Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team. The position involves performing nuclear medicine procedures of varying complexities on infants, children, adolescents, adults, and later adults, ensuring quality images for radiologists' interpretation. The role requires maintaining ALARA principles at all times.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of a board-certified radiologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures.
- Ensure quality images of all appropriate anatomical structures for radiologists.
- Maintain exceptional patient care by prioritizing patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and family members.
- Instruct students and precept new colleagues as assigned.
- Educate patients and family members about their care.
- Draft and implement imaging protocols to ensure high-quality images.
- Utilize computer-based applications and standard office software.
- Show strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in a team setting.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited 2 or 4-year Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Hold ARRT and/or CNMT certification through the NMTCB.
- Have 3+ years of previous experience in a general Nuclear Medicine department.
