About the role
Oversee all on-site construction operations for commercial ground-up projects. Manage subcontractors, schedules, safety compliance, and project quality. Interpret construction documents and perform constructability reviews. Maintain daily logs, coordinate materials, and ensure jobsite organization. Lead communication between owners, project managers, architects, and subs. Drive project timelines and ensure successful delivery from start to finish.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor
- Proven experience with ground-up projects valued at $12M+ (ideally up to $40M)
- Background in K-12, municipal, or public-sector construction preferred
- Ability to independently lead and manage large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and safety standards
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction software tools
- Open to candidates based in Northern Virginia or Maryland (near VA border)
