About the role

The Dispatcher oversees the daily coordination of Members/Riders schedules to and from the Day Center or appointments as assigned to Elite Transportation. The role involves arranging Logisticare WIll Call trips, validating and approving Transportation Specialist's time worked, finalizing time cards, participating in weekly Transportation Operations calls, coordinating compliance with Logisticare requirements, logging maintenance concerns, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily coordination of Members/Riders schedules
  • Arrange and validate Logisticare WIll Call trips
  • Approve Transportation Specialist's time worked
  • Finalize time cards for Transportation Specialists weekly
  • Communicate personal time off and training hours to payroll company
  • Participate in weekly Transportation Operations calls
  • Provide feedback on overall operations
  • Coordinate compliance with Logisticare requirements for Rider Complaints
  • Gather necessary supporting documentation per Elite Transportation policy
  • Log reported maintenance concerns for vehicles at the Depot
  • Coordinate with contracted mobile mechanic as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation (early am/late pm, every other Saturday)

Requirements

  • Previous professional experience with transportation of people, including wheelchair transportation (preferred)
  • Clean driving record (required)
  • Meet DOT Physical health requirements (required)
  • High School or GED equivalent (required)
  • Experience working around older adults and those with specialized care needs (preferred)

Qualifications

Must have a clean driving record and meet DOT physical requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience with transportation of people, including wheelchair transportation, is preferred. Experience working with older adults and individuals with specialized care needs is also preferred.

Skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with transportation management systems are beneficial.
