NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTER
About the role
Demonstrates the ability to care for and communicate with clients of all ages for which non-emergency transportation is provided.
Completes daily tasks in a consistent and timely manner.
Maintains a safe environment for clients, co-workers and yourself while providing transportation services.
Ensures that correct billing information and proper forms are completed at the time transportation arrangements are made.
Takes responsibility for the proper operation of the transport vehicles and equipment, including reporting any necessary maintenance.
Maintains current job knowledge and competencies.

Requirements
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- MUST HAVE NO MORE THAN 2 MOTOR VEHICLE VIOLATIONS IN THE LAST 5 YEARS AND BE INSURABLE BY HOSPITAL INSURANCE
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DOT PHYSICAL IN ORDER TO DRIVE A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE (VAN)
- Requires good communication skills, dependability, patience, compassion and the desire to work with people
- Requires self-motivation and work independently
- Previous Experience In The Healthcare Field Preferred
- Must be able to lift the weight of patients on stretchers (which will vary from light to sometimes very heavy)
Qualifications
- Must have no more than 2 motor vehicle violations in the last 5 years and be insurable by hospital insurance
- Requires good communication skills, dependability, patience, compassion and the desire to work with people
- Requires self-motivation and work independently
