Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and unload immobile and wheelchair-bound clients by stretcher or wheelchair accessible minivans
• Assist clients into stretchers and wheelchairs and properly secure in vehicle
• Maintain constant communication with dispatch
• Ensure the transport vehicles are properly mechanically maintained and clean
• Log all transports on applicable devices and sheets
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Able to lift 100+ pounds transferring patients to stretcher, vehicle, and appointment
• Clean driving record - No more than 2 traffic infractions in the past 3 years
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screenings
• Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area (zip codes, streets, regions)
• Strong digital, phone, and written communication skills
• Organized, neat, technological aptitude
• Effective at managing competing, high-level priorities - must be able to manage periods of stressful workload

Pay

$16.00 - $20.00 depending on service and experience
