Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

About the role

Seeking dependable individuals to work in our non-emergency transportation department and be responsible for transporting patients to their destinations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring patients from home to facility, facility to facility, or facility to home.
• Capable of understanding directions and able to read and use map software accurately.
• Perform all related duties as assigned, including transporting patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicates with dispatch to receive relevant data and instructions.
• Have and maintain professional behavior and attitude towards customers, visitors, and coworkers.
• Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
• Able to work independently and in a crew.
• Able to always follow safety protocols.

Requirements

• A minimum of 21 years of age with a valid Arizona State driver’s license.
• Strong and able to handle physical conditions, capable of lifting a minimum of 75+ pounds.
• Must be comfortable working with patients, the disabled, and the elderly from diverse backgrounds.
• Must have good customer service skills and the ability to interact with patients, facility staff, and other employees.
• Ability to work varied days and shifts, including day, swing, and graveyard.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of previous patient transporter experience.
• CPR certification or be able to obtain it prior to the start date.
• Pass drug & background checks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) to two (2) years of non-emergency transport experience.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of customer service experience.
