About the role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations, is seeking a delivery driver to transport water heaters for residential and commercial projects. The position offers a $500 sign‑on bonus (paid after 90 days) and the opportunity to be home daily with no nights or weekends.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (on‑call rotation during weekends every 5th week).

Pay

Hourly rate: $15.61 – $23.41 (may vary by location). This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans, including a $500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of delivery driving experience preferred
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license (must be at least 21 years old)
• Current, valid DOT medical card
• Ability to follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Ability to lift water heaters (150–1,500 lb)
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics (shipping, receiving, delivery) is a plus
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach
• Comfort using basic technology, including iPads

Responsibilities

• Deliver water heaters (150–1,500 lb) using a dolly to mechanical/boiler rooms or basements
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, refuel the truck as needed, and report issues to a supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling, preparing, receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking orders as needed
• Work overtime as required
