About the role
The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, is a premier advanced manufacturing facility supporting the safety, security, reliability, and effectiveness of our nation's nuclear deterrent. This entry-level position performs basic technical functions on assigned projects, including testing, troubleshooting, following procedures, recording results, repairing modules and equipment, and supporting low-volume/high-mix production requirements.
You will work under close supervision, learning from Project Leads and Subject Matter Experts while developing skills in reading documentation, understanding drawings, and adhering to workmanship standards. The role involves improving and refining devices and methods as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow work procedures to accurately record results.
- Learn from Project Leads and Subject Matter Experts while demonstrating technical aptitude.
- Use equipment, techniques, and tools necessary to complete tasks.
- Participate in teamwork-related activities without expectation of informal leadership.
- Develop skills in reading and understanding basic documentation and drawings.
- Perform work under close supervision while learning Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS) and Management Operating Systems (MOS).
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- United States citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
- Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work on-site as directed by management.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Some positions may require unique electrical, mechanical, and/or electronic skills, equivalent to technical knowledge obtained through military training or a two-year technical degree.
