Night Site Safety Manager
About the role
The Night Site Safety Manager will implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations. They will also lead and manage safety personnel, train employees on safety practices, inspect facilities, compile and submit reports, and consult with the Corporate Safety Director.
Responsibilities
- Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
- Individual responsibilities in safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Maintain and improve the safety management system and progress against Structure Tone safety Performance Standards.
- Lead and provide functional management for safety personnel.
- Train Philadelphia managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
- Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Ensure there are appropriate processes in place for promptly alerting the business and STO to significant accidents and incidents. Be involved in the investigation and ensure findings are reported.
- Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Produce safety management reports monthly, quarterly, and annually on safety performance.
- Review accident and incident reports and investigation reports, identify any trends, and ensure appropriate responses to prevent future recurrence.
- Regularly meet with safety personnel to monitor and review management of the function.
- Report on safety performance for the business unit at management team meetings.
- Consult and liaise with Corporate Safety Director on the management of safety in the division/business unit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience is required.
- 10-20 years of general construction experience.
- OSHA 30 hour training required.
Pay
$110,000 - $180,000 annually
