About the role

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at NYC Health and Hospitals Woodhull is seeking a BE/BC Night intensivist for a full-time/part-time opportunity at Woodhull Medical Center. The ideal candidate will work within the ICU and Step-down Unit, which can accommodate up to 24 patients. The position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including both medical and surgical cases, and responding to overhead emergencies throughout the hospital. Academic responsibilities include training and educating internal medicine residents, with Woodhull having over 60 categorical residents.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the ICU and Step-down Unit

  • Ultrasound experience and/or certification is a plus

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine
  • Experience working in an ICU setting
  • Ability to work nights

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current New York State Medical License
  • Completion of an approved residency program in Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an approved fellowship program in Critical Care Medicine

Skills

  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ultrasound experience and/or certification is a plus

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $333,500 with total compensation including bonus $363,000
  • 403B/457 participation inclusive of a 10% employer contribution with no employee match required
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement ranging from $3000-$3500 inclusive of one week of paid CME time
  • Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 contingent upon meeting required productivity and compliance metrics
