Job Description
The Night Auditor will oversee the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions. Specific responsibilities include:
- Performing audits and balancing daily financial transactions
- Aiding teams as needed, embodying the "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy
- Engaging in internal growth programs and exemplifying the company's culture
- Maintaining confidentiality of business functions and ensuring safety and security
- Communicating effectively and working independently as a key role for overnight hotel support
- Completing required training and adhering to standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
- Providing personalized, friendly service to guests and associates
- Balancing the day’s business in a neat, orderly, and timely manner
- Working all night shifts and being available for other shifts at the front desk
- Having knowledge of all hotel systems and being able to sell and upsell rooms
- Keeping cash drawers secure and in balance throughout the shift
- Checking credit of guest accounts daily and following up as needed
Success Factors
To succeed in this role, the Night Auditor must:
- Be able to work independently and serve as a key role for overnight hotel support
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be organized, honest, and work well with others
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a restricted space
- Have the physical capabilities to perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space
- Have the ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch
- Have finger dexterity for operating equipment such as computers
- Have the ability to remember property computer systems and ensure customers can be checked in and out, make adjustments to reservations, review balances, and other computer-related items
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Have the ability to handle pressure situations appropriately

Qualifications
Necessary qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of hotel operations and systems
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job
