Night Auditor

Job Description

The Night Auditor will oversee the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions. Specific responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel assets

• Working independently and serving as a key role for overnight hotel support
• Adhering to standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
• Completing tasks as requested to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to guests
• Providing personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
• Balancing the day’s business in a neat, orderly, and timely manner
• Being available for other shifts at the front desk when necessary
• Having knowledge of all hotel systems including phone PBX, key lock, and PMS reservation systems
• Completing all tasks described on the relevant shift checklist
• Checking credit of guest accounts daily and following up if action is required
• Having knowledge of the surrounding area
• Keeping cash drawer secure and in balance throughout the shift
• Selling and upselling rooms to walk-in guests and phone reservations
• Holding a general knowledge of housekeeping
