Night Auditor

About the role

The night auditor ensures a seamless hotel stay for guests by performing reconciliations of the day's financial transitions, serving as a front desk agent overnight, and functioning as the hotel's manager on duty.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests during the overnight shift (typically 11 PM - 7 AM)
• Aid with check-ins, reservations, and inquiries
• Prepare and finalize Night Audit work, ensuring accurate daily transaction balancing
• Conduct security walks to ensure guest and property safety
• Direct security personnel
• Prepare daily reports and the Daily Flash Report for management insights
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth operations and exceptional service

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year in a hotel or related field; supervisory experience is a plus
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework beneficial
• Skills: Proficient in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing; strong problem-solving skills and independence
• Attributes: Friendly, service-oriented, with excellent communication and detail-oriented
