Night Auditor
Position Summary
The Night Auditor is the heartbeat of the hotel overnight. You’re part front desk, part financial reconciler, and entirely the guest’s first and last impression of the day. This role is responsible for balancing all daily transactions, closing out the business day in the property management system, and making sure every guest who walks through the door after hours feels genuinely welcomed and cared for. If you’re someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys being the person guests can count on — this role is for you.

Run and complete the nightly audit in the property management system (PMS), balancing all daily revenue transactions including room charges, payments, and adjustments.
Prepare and distribute the daily revenue report and any other operational reports required by management.
Identify, research, and resolve billing discrepancies; escalate unresolved issues with clear documentation.
Ensure all accounts are properly posted and closed before generating end-of-day reports.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with hotel policies and Marriott brand standards.
Serve as the sole front desk associate during overnight hours — handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations with efficiency and warmth.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns; resolve issues with a solution-first mindset.
Answer phone calls professionally, take accurate messages, and route inquiries appropriately.
Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, local area attractions, and brand loyalty programs to assist guests.
Conduct regular security walks of the property throughout the shift; report any incidents, safety concerns, or maintenance issues immediately.
Monitor entrances and public areas to ensure the safety and security of guests and associates.
Follow all emergency procedures and escalate situations appropriately.
