Job Summary

The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Warmly and professionally welcome all guests.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Answer and route calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
  • Manage cash drawer contents and transactions.
  • Maintain and update accurate records using hotel systems.
  • Ensure common areas are clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests courteously and help meet their needs.
  • Seek feedback and relay compliments to the team.
  • Execute check-in/check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
  • Ensure reservation and billing accuracy.
  • Update hotel systems with relevant information.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and prevent issues.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and tactfully, escalating complex issues as needed.

Performance Metrics

  • Understanding and timely completion of essential functions and job responsibilities.
  • Goal accomplishment and problem-solving through resourcefulness and knowledge application.
  • Effective communication and positive relationships with colleagues.
  • On-time attendance and adherence to attendance policy.
  • Compliance with processes and procedures for documentation and communication.
  • Guest Service Scores related to Loyalty Recognition, Overall Arrival Experience, and Overall Service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Availability to work morning and evening shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing for an entire shift or extended periods.
  • Frequent walking, bending, sitting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and talking or hearing.
  • Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
