Night Auditor

The Night Auditor maximizes revenue and creates value by providing excellent customer service, handling all guest accounts efficiently and accurately, and assisting in all phases of the guest experience such as check-in, check-out, and problem resolution.
This is a part-time, overnight shift with hours ranging from 10pm–6am or 11pm–7am, 2 days a week with flexibility to cover more days if needed.
Responsibilities
- Work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas.
- Perform guest services functions (e.g., check guests in/out, take reservations, wake-up calls).
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
- Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports (e.g., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports) according to hotel standards.
- Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
- Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
- Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required.
- Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations from policies or procedures.
- Respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt.
Skills & Qualifications
- Provide high-level customer service and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Follow instructions, learn quickly, and pay attention to detail.
- Maintain composure when working under pressure.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and computer technology (e.g., email, MS Word, Excel, and other hotel-related systems).
- Aptitude with numbers and data analysis.
- Knowledge/experience of accounting principles; prior customer service/hospitality experience is preferred.
- High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
