Night Auditor

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit procedures to ensure all daily financial transactions are accurate and balanced
• Process guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours while providing exceptional customer service
• Reconcile room revenue, payments, cash transactions, and credit card settlements
• Prepare and distribute daily operational and financial reports for hotel management
• Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns, resolving issues professionally and efficiently
• Answer incoming phone calls, make reservations, and provide information about hotel services and amenities
• Monitor hotel security by conducting routine property walks and ensuring guest safety during overnight hours
• Cook up with housekeeping, engineering, and security teams to address overnight operational needs
• Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
• Handle cash, maintain accurate records, and balance the front desk cash drawer at the end of each shift
• Assist with early morning departures and prepare the front office for the day shift

Requirements

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous front desk, guest services, hotel, or night audit experience preferred
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and cash-handling procedures
• Experience with hotel property management systems, Opera preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
