About the role

The Docents Collection is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as docents. This position involves leading guided tours, providing educational programs, and engaging with visitors to enhance their museum experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided tours of the museum
• Develop and deliver educational programs for all age groups
• Engage with visitors to provide personalized assistance and information
• Maintain exhibits and ensure visitor safety

Requirements

• A passion for history and education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service or education-related field
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Knowledge of local history and culture
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
