About the role
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency at the Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB. They are responsible for checking in guests, resolving issues, and promoting hotel programs.
Responsibilities
- Engage guests with a positive attitude and provide detailed information about the hotel and local area.
- Register guests, ensure proper payment, note and fulfill special requests, and establish accurate information.
- Resolve problems and exceed guest expectations during challenging situations.
- Promote and sell hotel programs to guests.
- Interact professionally with other hotel staff, providing necessary information as requested.
- Stay informed about emergency procedures and policies.
- Generate, print, and distribute daily and weekly reports.
- Follow Night Audit procedures with meticulous attention to detail.
- Communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty.
- Post charges, cash checks, manage safe deposits, and handle refunds according to set procedures.
- Assist other departments as needed.
