Position Details
Full‑time Paraprofessional positions are available at Newberry Elementary School through employment with CCRES. The Special Education Paraprofessional (Autism Support) position is scheduled for 7 hours per day.

Credential Requirements
The state requires all Instructional Assistants working with students in special education to have a minimum of 48 undergraduate credits or a Credential of Competency.
The Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators in Pennsylvania is a voluntary program that allows paraprofessionals to achieve qualified status as required by Pennsylvania regulations. After a district verifies competence using the Competency Assessment Checklist, the checklist is submitted to the Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education for approval.
