About the role
We are looking for a Social Media Associate Manager to join our social team. This role requires strong concise writing and editorial calendar strategy skills. You will develop video-centric editorial assets, craft punchy copy, and convey artists' stories efficiently. You will also own the publishing schedule, leveraging social trends, cultural moments, holidays, and awards season. Additionally, you will mine Vevo’s extensive video archive to resurface nostalgic content and celebrate milestones.
Responsibilities
- Copywriting & Content Creation
- Write brief, accurate, and engaging micro-copy for on-screen editorial assets and hosted scripts.
- Distill complex artist backstories, video facts, and pop culture lore into punchy, engaging copy.
- Maintain a sharp, authoritative, and music-obsessed editorial voice for Vevo’s social content.
- Collaborate with video editors, graphic designers, and on-camera talent to align copy with visual and audio elements.
- Editorial Strategy & Calendar Ownership
- Own Vevo’s day-to-day social publishing schedule across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Identify brand-relevant trends, internet culture, holidays, and pop culture events to join conversations naturally.
- Pitch and program content from Vevo’s archive to highlight anniversaries, artist milestones, and throwback moments.
- Connect classic music moments with current trends to give legacy content fresh relevance.
- Social Execution & Analytics
- Oversee precise, error-free scheduling and native posting across platforms.
- Monitor social analytics and engagement to refine future copy and content themes.
- Create video and image assets within templated formats.
- Navigate social media management tools such as DashSocial, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or Sprinklr.
Requirements
- 3+ years in social media management, copywriting, or music/culture journalism.
- Proven experience managing multi-channel social media profiles (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn) using tools like DashSocial or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in social media scheduling, publishing workflows, and analytical tools.
- Exceptional short-form writing and editorial skills, ideally with a background in music, media, or entertainment journalism.
- Editorial judgment to manage a brand calendar, leverage trends, and curate archival content.
- Mastery of brevity, with a portfolio showcasing clear, punchy, and space-efficient micro-copy.
- Broad, multi-genre music literacy spanning contemporary and historical catalog music.
- Meticulous attention to detail, fact-checking, and grammar for accurate music history and artist information.
- Expertise in native social tools, video formats, and community behavior across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.

Pay
$70,000 - $75,000 per year.
Schedule
