Neurosurgery Registered Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a neurosurgery unit, caring for patients post-cranial and spinal procedures, stroke, or neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within established standards.
• Promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
• Developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients.
• Ensuring communication across the care continuum and participating in quality, safety, and professional development activities.
• Applying critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role with alertness and safety awareness.
