Neurosurgery Registered Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a neurosurgery unit, primarily caring for patients post-cranial and spinal procedures, stroke, or neurological conditions. The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring communication and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
• Participate in activities related to patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document care plans aligned with standards, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while considering patient values and cultural factors.
• Utilize critical nursing skills for comprehensive assessments and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree with RN licensure.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong communication, assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and adhere to standards of care.
