About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a specialized neuro-medicine and epilepsy monitoring unit, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

The role involves working with a diverse patient population in a high-acuity environment, emphasizing clinical skill development and collaborative care.

Responsibilities

  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual factors.
  • Maintain safety-sensitive standards, working alertly to ensure a safe care environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN license required.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred for advanced qualifications.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Certification eligibility in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is a plus.
