Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a neuro-medical setting, primarily focusing on epilepsy monitoring and neuro-surgical patients. The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and promoting family-centered care through education on illness management, medications, and post-discharge needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
• Participate in activities that promote safety, quality, and compliance, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree with RN licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, including every third weekend, with flexible scheduling.
• Certification in NIHSS exam eligibility is a plus.
