Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens support to provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage at a Seattle facility. The position starts ASAP and involves full‑time coverage with four 10‑hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage.
• Perform first assist duties when needed (preferred but not required).
• Handle occasional weekend beeper call (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM).
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR.

Requirements

• Active Washington medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
• Current DEA registration.
• Board certification in the relevant specialty.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum 30‑60 day credentialing timeframe.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• First assist experience preferred.
• Familiarity with inpatient neurosurgery cases.

Skills

• Proficient with Epic electronic medical record.
• Strong clinical judgment in neurosurgical inpatient settings.
• Ability to manage beeper call responsibilities.

Pay

$106.70 – $115.50 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time coverage: 4 shifts per week, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (10 guaranteed hours per day). Occasional weekend beeper call on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
